REQUEST A PLUMBER

OUR SERVICES

We provide reliable emergency plumbing on the Central Coast, upholding professional standards you can rely on and prices you can afford. Let us know the nature of your plumbing problem using an Enquiry or Emergency form below our services, and we'll get back to you right away!

Blocked Sewer & Stormwater Drains

We utilize the most basic equipment like hand rods and plungers to the most advanced equipment, including electric eels and water jets, which are designed to effectively clear blockages and remove tree roots from inside pipes.

Apart from those, we have CCTV cameras, allowing us to see what is happening inside the pipe (how damaged it is and if needed, we can locate the head of the camera from above ground, giving us a very good idea of where the blockage is and how deep it is.

It is still sometimes more effective to dig up and repair the pipe or have it relined, and with our Central Coast emergency plumbing services, we will be able to present you solutions that can effectively resolve the problem.

CCTV Camera Inspections

CCTV Cameras allow us to carry out investigative work. Things we can see if a sewer line has been totally cleared or additional work is required and what is causing the blockage (it is surprising the things people will flush down toilets). Remember the three Ps: Pee, Poo, and toilet Paper are the only things to be flushed down a toilet. So-called flushable wipes can cause blockages and should not be flushed down a toilet. Our emergency plumbers need entry points to access the sewer or stormwater line. We can locate or create access points if needed.

We are also able to locate the head of the camera from above ground with our locator giving us a good idea of the location of the camera head and its depth.

Leak Detections

When our emergency plumbers service a tap, we do everything. This includes reseating the seat, which gives the jumper valve (washer) a nice flat seat to seal against, replacing all o'rings and washers and servicing the spindle and, of course, replacing the jumper valve.

Everything gets to an age where it needs changing, or you may just want a change, and we can give you advice if needed on what to look for, or we can supply and install the new taps, spouts, and shower roses for you.

Kitchen, Bathroom & Laundry

As your go-to emergency plumber, we carry out all replacement, service, repairs and maintenance on all your kitchen, bathroom, and laundry taps, spouts, and p.c items (tubs, basins, vanities, sinks and more)

Water, Supply Installation and Service

No hot water, only warm water or a leaking hot water system?

We can inspect and advise you on the options for repairing the system or supplying and installing a new water heater.

Depending on your situation and outcome, there are various types of water heaters for commercial and domestic installations that our emergency plumbers can handle:

- Off-peak storage water heaters — Heat the water generally overnight and store it for use.
- Continuous tariff storage water heaters — Still store water, but if you use it, it has the ability to heat up again.
- Gas or electric instantaneous water heaters — These heaters heat the water as you use it and don't store the water.
- Gas storage water heaters — Heat the water and store it, and as the heat drops off the water, it will heat up again.
- Solar water heaters — The water is heated by the sun and may also have an electric or gas booster system.

Heat pump water heaters — A heat pump works like an air conditioner and uses the air around it to heat the water. They use approximately a third of the power of an electric water heater.

Repair Or Replacement of Taps, Spouts and Shower Roses

If you don’t like turning your tap on and getting dirty water and you enjoy having drinkable water, call us to organize to supply and install a water filter to suit your needs.

Water Hammer

Water hammering can occur when you shut off the water suddenly, and the fast-moving water rushing through the pipe is brought to a sudden stop, creating a shock wave and a hammering noise.

Our team conducts emergency plumbing across the Central Coast to free up any potentially blocked taps and fix your pipes to help remove water hammering.

Roofing, Gutter and Downpipes

Paul Byrnes Emergency Plumbing Service will carry out repairs and replacements to gutters and downpipes.

Water Filters

If you don’t trust the water coming from your taps, give us a call so we can install an easy-to-operate water filter system.

What to do in case of an emergency plumbing issue

In the unfortunate event of a plumbing emergency, taking immediate action while waiting for the arrival of our professional emergency plumbers can help mitigate potential damage. Here are some crucial steps you can take:

  • Turn off the water supply
If possible, locate the main shut-off valve for your water supply. This action can help prevent further water damage from leaks or bursts. The valve is usually found with the water meter inside the boundary line of your property that runs parallel to the road. Units can be tricky — the isolation valve may be on one of the outside walls, under the tub, sink, or vanity.
Paul Byrnes Emergency Plumbing Service recommends that you locate your water meter enabling you to turn it off quickly as a water leak can quickly cause not only a mess, but the cost of damage can quickly add up.
  • Avoid using plumbing fixtures
Kindly refrain from using your sinks, toilets, showers, or any other plumbing fixtures during the emergency. This reduces the risk of exacerbating the issue and allows the plumbing team to assess the situation without additional complications.
  • Document the situation
If it’s safe to do so, document the emergency situation by taking photos or videos. Once our designated emergency plumber arrives at your home, this visual record can help them better assess the extent of the issue.
  • Evacuate if necessary
In extreme cases, such as flooding or the risk of electrical hazards, consider evacuating the premises right away and staying in a safe place while waiting for our team to arrive.
